Columbia Terminal Railroad Overview
The Columbia Terminal Railroad is a short-line railroad in Boone County, Missouri owned and operated by the city of Columbia, Missouri. The railroad runs from Columbia to the Norfolk Southern mainline in Centralia. The line serves several customers and operates its own transload terminal.
The line formerly served the coal-fired Columbia Municipal Power Plant until it switched to natural gas in 2015. The line also hosted the Columbia Star Dinner Train from 2011 to 2014.
