Tioga Central Railroad Overview
The Tioga Central Railroad of Wellsboro, Pennsylvania operates excursion trains on a 34 mile railroad extending north from Wellsboro, Pennsylvania to a location about three miles south of Corning, New York.
Today, the Tioga Central passenger service is operated by the Wellsboro & Corning Railroad which is a wholly owned subsidiary of Genesee & Wyoming Inc. Locomotives are provided by the Wellsboro and Corning Railroad.
Due to COVID-19 capacity restrictions the line had suspended passenger operations during 2020 and 2021. In 2022 the railroad was reported to have permanently closed and its website was off-line.
