Thermal Belt Railway Overview

The Thermal Belt Railway is a Class III shortline railroad that operates for freight service on an irregular schedule on 3.5 miles of former CSX line from Bostic to Forest City. The railroad previously operated to Alexander Mills, however this trackage was abandoned and turned into a rail trail.

As of 2020, the only customer remaining on the line is a small transload operation near the CSX interchange. The rest of the line is used for car storage.

TBRY interchanges with with CSX at Bostic.
