Heard the Desk 8 dispatcher call the train that is sitting on main one between Johnson Ave and W. Pontiac a 382....sure wish CN would move it as it seems the old saying that all the trains show up at the same place at the same time is very true and causing some congestion around the Pontiac area
Northbound sitting south of Pontiac with lights off. 2nd unit is red white blue . 1st unit from front looked like SD40-2W.
PatC created a monster, 'cause nobody wants to see Don Simon no more they want AARR I'm chopped liver, well if you want AARR this is what I'll give ya, bad humor mixed with irrelevant info that'll make you roll your eyes quicker than a ~Z~ banhammer...
The parked trains on the Holly south of Pontiac in Bloomfield Hills was the subject of the lead news item on WDIV 6 pm news out of Detroit just now. Saw a helicopter circling around here earlier today and they had some arial shots on the news. Neighbors are complaining as the locomotives are idling. It said the trains have been there a week now, since last Wednesday. My guess is that they are all trains bound for Canada off the Mount Clemens route until the strike is over.

That sounds about right. There have been no north/eastbound manifests on the MTC sub that I've seen since the strike began, and only 2 south/westbound trains - aside from L533. Crews are at a premium at the border I guess and are reserved for highest priority runs - read mostly intermodal. Not sure why they are not stashing some of those parked trains in what is left of East yard, or up in New Haven - or maybe they are ?
