With it's asbestos removed, the time is coming for the Deshler, Ohio depot to meet it's destiny, demo will possibly be starting in the next week or two.
Q334 rolls across the Thornapple River and 48th St bridges on a cold February morning in 2010. Leading the train is a now retired ex Conrail SD60M, followed by a likely now also retired C40-8W. 2/12/2010
How did you like the hike up "my hill" ? I laid that all out so the Favreau's would have a nice buildable lot with that view. I'm surprised they didn't build a new house there and then sold their house on the east end of the property. Mr Favreau was a pleasure to deal with acquiring the ROW to build the new road alignment.

Well, it was almost 12 years ago, so I don’t really remember. I have been up there more recently though, just to scout out pictures. The foliage has definitely grown up more on that hill since then.
I didn't even look for a date. I assumed it was last Saturday. I was thinking I thought we had removed that row of silt fence a number of years ago. Duh.........
Wheeling & Lake Erie rolls into Bellevue behind a former Grand Trunk Western SD40 and a former Rio Grande GP35. #4000 has since been rebuilt into an SD40-3, losing its CN colors in the process. 7/26/2006

No, a friend and I were in town checking out the Mad River & NKP Museum and 2 W&LE trains happened to come by. 16 years later, those are still the only W&LE trains I’ve ever seen.
A GP60 rolls into the siding at Swanton, OH, passing the classic Conrail tri-lights and bracket mast that once stood here. The dwarf on the pole is interesting, too. I don't think I've been to Swanson since then, but I'm sure these signals are long gone. 3/25/2011
Running as 401 on the CN, IORY #4083 heads south on the old DT&I through Carleton. Even though it's part of the orange borg now, this is a job I wouldn't mind shooting again. 9/16/2011
One of CSX's ten EMD SD70ACe-T4s (classified as ST70AHs by CSX) leads Q326 over Buck Creek in Grandville. I'm glad to have finally caught one of these beasts leading! 1/19/22
A pair of Norfolk Southern's SD33ECOs, with a slug in between them, roll through Inman Yard on a chilly January morning in Atlanta. The units will eventually tie on to the rear of the cut of cars on the left and shove them over the hump. 1/8/22
After having troubles with SD40-3 #4026, D706 leaves Grand Rapids with SD40-2 #8849 doing all of the work to pull the dead trailer and roughly 40 cars out of town. This was the last hurrah for 8849 on D705/D706, which had been on the jobs for a few weeks at this point. 12/28/2021
Central Michigan #8804 leads C30-7 #5086 and B30-7 #5492 across the frozen Saginaw River on a brutally cold (but sunny) February day back in 2011. After crossing the river, the HESR's 702 will turn southwest and head for Durand. 2/8/2011
