Loose car coal customers

Unread post by TSS »

Saw a single carload of coal in Eastbound Q326 today. It was in a steel hopper, so it was not a power plant load that had been bad ordered and set out (I’ve seen a handful of those lately on Q326).

I presume this is coal for a heating plant somewhere. Who still gets coal a carload at a time in Michigan?

ABC in Cadillac still gets a few carloads of coke a week. Usually arrives in single car lots or maybe a few cars.
PatC created a monster, 'cause nobody wants to see Don Simon no more they want AARR I'm chopped liver, well if you want AARR this is what I'll give ya, bad humor mixed with irrelevant info that'll make you roll your eyes quicker than a ~Z~ banhammer...

HMJX 20046 released loaded 8/5 in Waupaca WI. Traveled to Tarrant AL, released loaded again so I think it was an empty from WI since Tarrant AL is home to ABC Coke. The car is currently in GR MI. I'm assuming it will go to Ann Pere to the GLC.

Would this be Reading & Northern Cars, if so them go to Zilwaukee Michigan.
