From MichiganRailroads.com (where I don't have an active account).
As Elba Steve noted the switch to the main is still connected and occasionally used for storage but I think the spur is disconnected short of the lumber yard.
The last time I saw cars there was at least 10 (probably longer, I'm losing track (pun ) of time) or more years ago. There were a pair of SOU 50' box cars.
I was wondering if anyone had any updates as to the ex-Annie mainline which truncates in the Glasser Lumberyard in Vernon.
When was the last time this was used? Is it an active HESR customer? Consumers Energy may have had some cars stored here at one time, is that still the case?
Is this even connected to the HESR?

Is this the spur with the bridge on it outside of Vernon? I heard something about the bridge needing work to be crossed again.
