Too bad that I'm sure cops won't buy railfanning as "essential travel"

It's an outdoor activity. And cops won't be worried about stuff like that. They've got more to deal with right now.

BNSF engine #6048 is leading N800-23 & went to Grand Junction mp CG55.6 to get the CSX pusher engines #3094 + #486. Heard N800 to Dispatch asking if West Olive can handle them since there is 1 coal train being emptied & 2 others waiting to be emptied & he was advised to proceed to West Olive after Dispatch checked.
N800-23 @ 07:56am reported by the DD mp CG44.2 with 544 axles & 7,220 feet long.

Q32924 by Howell at 08:52 with 449+5243+2692 and 76 cars. Have not seen 2692 since 6-28-13 when it was the trailing unit on Q33413 out of GRP. Q32824 went east at 08:15 with 425+3232 and 147 cars. Last 40 or so were stone empties to go with another 30 or so on 328 yesterday. 329 had a few stone loads yesterday too on the head end so let the stone moving system begin.

And now that I’m no longer near the tracks, I can hear something blowing off in the distance at East Saugatuck (I’m 6 miles west on 140th). Coal empty?

I'm guessing Y121 is out south or southeast of Holland.

Q327-24 @ 11:32:45am Bangor's Center St crossing mp CG60.35 with CSX engines #79 + #450 & 118 cars. He had dropped off 22 cars in Holland. He had gone into Grand Jct mp CG53.9 after passing the DD at mp CG44.2 @ 10:49am & no idea why. The DD44.2 axle count had worked out for 2 engines & 118 cars & counted 118 cars as he passed by Bangor.

Tough day for that D700 crew, craning their necks to run that single GEVO long hood forward for 70 miles west, just to ride along caboose style in the comfortable position going back to the yard. This Q326/D700 train was by Zeeland at 16:45.

Lots of Holland/Zeeland customers have empty sidings right now. Waverly Yard looks like it has several loads for Lumbermen’s and a long line of hoppers to or from the Michigan Shore.

Kind of like the view from a steam locomotive cab, no? :)
