I haven't seen or heard anything on the south side of Cadillac this morning. Could be running north today.

I noticed yesterday driving by Ithaca that bean place appears to be receiving grain by truck.

North bound 90 car empty grain by Howell at 10:50 with GLC 390-392 on the head end. Didn't think I would ever see a pair of GP35s traveling alone on the same train again. Earlier this morning, a CSX road train sat off 35 cars for GLC in the CSX Howell passing siding. This is becoming the norm now that Lansing local D708 rarely comes to Howell anymore. They have only been here twice in the last three weeks. CSX road trains out of Detroit has been picking up the cars for CSX.

Checking, there were 23 cars in the transfer for CSX and four more in the run around, and who knows how many more to bring down from Owosso. Now that there are GLC cars to pick, they may bring a bunch more down and stuff the Howell pass with cars for CSX when they pick up the 35 for them.

Once or twice a month is my guess based on the number of cars they take with them

They go to Elmira once a week with cement loads. When they go all the way to Petoskey they usually have 7-10 plastic pellet cars which is about a months worth for the customer who transloads from there.
