NS 34A Derailment at Horseshoe Curve

Unread post by ThomasACu »

NS 34A, an Allentown-to-Conway manifest train, derailed this evening at the world-famous Horseshoe Curve in Altoona, Pennsylvania.

Thankfully, nobody was injured or killed in this accident. Very happy about that.

11 cars derailed, and all three mains through there were shut down.

Go to about 20:40 EDT and you can hear the train derailing and see the locos after they pull apart from the derailed cars.
