Not really related to ITCS, but Amtrak is auctioning off, "11 material-handling gondolas stored at the company’s Niles, Mich., maintenance base (once used for trackwork on the Amtrak-owned Michigan Line)..."
Looking on Google Maps, I found exactly 11 MOW gondolas on a siding near the old roundhouse in Niles. Bingo! Does anyone have any "on the ground" photos?
Are these the cars? I took this photo in 2014, when they were stored on an OOS spur track in the Fort Custer area of Battle Creek.

Do you think it'll come back on 355?

Well look on the bright side of things.
Putting the Chargers in service on the Wolverines and Blue Water won't hurt the on-time statistics.

350 was 18 minutes early arriving in Pontiac today. First time it hasn't been late in months. Charger related?

MDOT told me that ITCS was operational between Town Line and Kalamazoo on April 6. I saw a bulletin that showed the speed restriction through Albion is all 25 MPH again (a few crossing had been upgraded to 40 MPH in the recent past but are 25 again). Not sure why all the delays are still taking place on this line. During the month of May #351 never made it on time to Kalamazoo, even thou it has no scheduled opposing meets with Amtrak trains, and OTP of others is not much better. I would imagine that the powers to be are trying to get the signals and ITCS working more reliably before they go to the next step and increase speeds to 90 MPH.
