That was probably the train I heard (but didn't see) go past MP 22.5 around 1 pm today. Odd time for a train out back so I figured it was an extra or a 280.

I caught a391at Williams Lake Rd. at 2:20 AM
BNSF 4006
CN 2516
Has loaded intermodal up front.
391 is meeting a southbound at Holly again tonight, I have not heard a symbol but my guess is 116.

That intermodal tossed me for a loop. was not sure what train that was till the dispatcher referred to them as 391.Manistique wrote:Empty sand train (except for one car in the middle it looked) NB past MP 22.5 at 9:21 pm with a single CN zebra striped cowl as power. It may be 391 as it had its usual engineer.
391 will meet 116 at Holly.
It did have the usual string of empty lumber cars, so it looked like a typical 391 with the sand cars ahead, and stacks behind. The single car in the middle of the sand hoppers was a coil car.
I believe the meet with 116 at Holly held them up. it was a bit over 2 hours between 391 passing me and116 getting down my way.

Train 116 just went SB past MP 22.5 at 6:16 am following Amtrak 351 down the Hill. From Jim's report above, 116 must have sat at Pontiac Yard for four hours or so before it was recrewed and sent south. It did have mixed freight on both ends today.
