E270 with NS 4000 leading cleared Schoolcraft @ 1655 EB. Probably thru Vicksburg and Pavilion now.

Re: CN Updates-May 2019
I am moving back to the East side of Michigan and have some questions about the Holly Sub trains.
From what I can gather so far, trains North of Pontiac are 116, 280, 371, 391, and 502. Did I miss any?
Here are the questions:
1. Where do 504 and 505 trains originate / terminate?
2. I saw something about a coal train recently on the Shoreline Sub. I remember coal trains on the Holly Sub that went down to Monroe, but that was a while back now. Do any coal trains run on the Holly Sub anymore?
3. Is there a counterpart to 116? Seems like I've seen a 117 symbol here and there, but don't think this is regular.
4. I have also seen one or two sand trains too recently - what is the story on these?
Thanks.

Re: CN Updates-May 2019
504 is a Battle Creek to Port Huron/Sarnia train, and 505 is the westbound counterpart.
Coal hasn't run on the Holly since Consumers closed the Whiting plant in Luna Pier. Coal on CN goes to either Monroe or River Rouge.
Q116 doesn't have a scheduled counterpart, but intermodal extras from Moterm arent uncommon.
Sand trains are very sporadic. The cars move to/from Toledo on 502 and 391.

Re: CN Updates-May 2019
The counterpart to 116 when it does run can have several numbers too. I've seen wb stack trains over the last year or two run as 189, 141, 119 and 117. Those are just the ones I've heard. They usually run during the night so I often dont hear the train symbol. A couple nights ago I saw one. Last week or week before there were 2-3 that ran.

Northbound on the Shoreline crossed Vinewood Street in Wyandotte at 0940.
Northbound FURX coal parked on the Flat Rock at Oak Street in Wyandotte right now.

Re: CN Updates-May 2019
Train 515 ( I presume) is NB past MP 22.5 with CN GP40-2 9473. This morning when 515 was southbound it had SD60 5449 as power unless one of these trains is really a 513 and there were two locals out working Detroit today.
BNSF 4295 SB with an autorack Train 280 passing MP 22.5 at 5:14 pm, out of Pontiac ahead of Amtrak 355.
5674 and 5685 on another 280 autorack train SB passing MP 22.5 at 6:10 pm. Second such train in less than an hour.

CN 5674 was 276. They were waiting for 384 to clear Milwaukee Junction when I left for home.
371 was by Woodward Avenue in Detroit at 1842. UP 8333, GECX 7349 and CN 2509.

116 by 205 at 2205. I didn't see the first 20 or so cars but otherwise solid stacks.

Re: CN Updates-May 2019
I missed catching 116 tonight but they are good to depart Pontiac at1:56 AM CN 2407 Leading.
Sounds like they will bring the power off 116 back to Pontiac after working Moterm.

Re: CN Updates-May 2019
Reading the earlier posts from last night I can put together a bit of a puzzle this morning.
There was a meet of a NB and SB at around 3 am out back at MP 22.5. The NB sounded like a light geep so I presume it was a 513 local that worked south of Pontiac last night headed back. The SB was long and I figured 116 (as we had two autorack trains already yesterday) but the last cars had the familiar banging of empty autoracks as it went by.
At 5:51 light power drifted NB past my house and I thought that confirmed that the earlier SB was a 116 with all stacks and so power back to Pontiac as is the usual case when there is no mixed freight to go to Flat Rock.
But from reading the evening reports I guess the light power was from an earlier 116 (why it stays so long at Moterm I don't know) and the 3 am train was another rack train.
Lastly, no Amtrak 351 yet this morning out of Pontiac. The Amtrak tracker says it is running an hour late for some reason.
Amtrak 351 went by MP 22.5 at 7:19, an hour and fifteen minutes late. Right behind him passing now is a SB freight with two CN's as power. Some mixed stuff up front and the rest is all autoracks until the last couple cars. Another 280-type train, the fourth in less than 24 hours.

Re: CN Updates-May 2019
Train 515 with CN 9473 SB past MP 22.5 at 10:20 am following Amtrak 353 down the Hill.
Train 515 returned to Pontiac passing MP 22.5 at 3 pm following Amtrak 350 up the Hill.
Train 371 is NB passing MP 22.5 at 4:45 pm with two CN's, a BNSF and a UP, not necessarily in that order.

A 280-type all autorack train just went SB past MP 22.5 at 10:22 am, following Amtrak 353. Missed the power.
Train 515 with 9473 running in reverse followed the above train SB out of Pontiac passing MP 22.5 at 10:30 am.
