A train goes north and then comes back south a few hours later most, but not all, weekdays. Probably the northbound is late mid to late morning and the southbound several hours later.

Thanks
I was very surprised how well the track was maintained from Ithaca north.

If you do catch them going north in Mt Pleasant, you might as well make the trip to Clare. It's a very easy 15 mile drive, and you can see most everything the GLC does in Clare legally.

You can thank the State of Michigan for funding the GLC track maintenance.

Actually, MDOT only pays for some of it. GLC funds the rest of their own pockets.

I reviewed minutes from the Michigan State Transportation Commission. Four maintenance contracts were approved in December 2016 were funded 90% by MDOT and 10% by the operating railroad.

Not sure when I will get that way again. Took my son to Central
Michigan for a junior football day. Never have been North of Lansing before that trip and was very surprised how much it looked like farm country at home.
