So far rail train still sitting idle, now a bunch of Amtrak MOW trucks are gathered a short distance from the head end, at the Angell St crossing, maybe working on signals?

The rail train moved, not sure when, but it appears it is actually working just west of the Helmer Rd crossing along with other Amtrak machines and Amtrak MOW crews. Guess it makes sense to do this work at night. Crappy night to work outside though!

Update: MOW cleared up around 05:00 in time for NS B33 to return eastbound, AMTK rail train back tied down between Angell St and 20th St.

Amtrak MOW worked again tonight west of BC, rail train appears empty. Power just left light eastbound, but I assume they are going to run around their train and then head west.

UPDATE: Power did in fact run around, first going east to the crossover near Gord, then back west light to crossover again at CP Custer and returned to their train. I expect that they will be leaving westbound soon. NS B33 just passed through eastbound with 2 engines and only 2 cars.

Just heard #353 go past my work, but was unable to see it. The horn didn't sound like the normal K5LA. Can anyone confirm the power?

Amtrak 354 arrived around 7 hours late in Pontiac this morning, just passing MP 22.5 on the Holly (Bloomfield Hills) at 6:52 am. It must have passed the morning's 350 on the Holly somewhere.

Don’t forget, Amtrak is running extra trains in Michigan, today and Sunday. One extra mid day round trip each between Chicago and Ann arbor and Chicago and Holland. The Pere Marquette gained a 4th Superliner this week and currently has a a Charger on each end. Trains 370, 371, 372 and 373 should run with the same consist each day with a quick clean and service before turning back.

The size of the Wolverine consists have been changing a bit daily this Thanksgiving week. Train 351 had six cars this morning. Trains 350/355 were back to five yesterday up from six the prior few days. Train 353 was only six cars yesterday instead of eight on Monday. An eighth car seems to require a second locomotive. They must be monitoring the reservations and being flexible to add to remove a coach for that day during this busy week.

Update: 353 had six cars just now out of Pontiac. With the extra Chicago/Ann Arbor trains today they probably are putting the extra cars on that train and no need for the extra cars on the regularly scheduled trains?
