Manistique wrote:Train 515 just went SB past MP 22.5. And get this, it had two locomotives, 6221 and 4632. And it was a long train again. So they must have combined the two south Holly Sub/Mt Clemens sub locals as reported above. Two locomotives might be needed to bring the longer train up the Hill in the afternoon on the way back? But it is mostly empties on that leg of the trip. Who knows?
Keep an eye out to see if L513 heads south in the evening more often than it typically has been. Maybe they'll pick up some of the workload?

Train 515 passed MP 22.5 NB at 4:05 pm with just 4632 as power. It left 6221 somewhere on its run. It had a long string of empty centerbeams and a few boxcars.

Well, there was a 513 last night on the Holly south of Pontiac. Went SB around 10 pm and came back north past MP 22.5 around 3 am. Blueheron13 was prophetic.

Train 515 SB past MP 22.2 at 12:20 pm. Didn't see the power.

Track equipment working the S-Curves south of Opdyke Road in Bloomfied Hills on Main 2 at noon today.

Train 451 with a CN, UP and PRLX 203 (Warbonnet) NB passing MP 22.5 at 2:16 pm going slowly, probably a slow order with the work going on the tracks up in Pontiac at Woodward Avenune. Edit: 451 has quite a long string of track equipment in tow near the front of the train, not sure if on the tracks or on flat cars (looks like on the tracks; do they have couplers?) and maybe that is the reason for the slow speed?

Do you know where
GTW GP40-2 #6420 is headed? :?: Could it be going to Flat Rock? That's a nice engine!!!!

Here's a picture I took (Canon® AE-1 Program™ 35mm camerea) of it at Schaefer Yard, Dearborn, November 3, 2009: Image

Well, it's headed to Flat Rock and my best guess is that it will be returning to Toronto on M384 - possibly tomorrow. It has been through here a number of times this summer. Appears to have been given a bath and touched up - looked pretty clean from my perspective today.

Wb stack train by 205 at 0615. Moving really slow, I didn't hear why on the radio. Pretty early for 149 but I do see 53' on it.

I saw what from a distance looked like a very early 451 rolling through Pontiac at 8:51 am with two CN locomotives. Trackwork is still going on there at Woodward (which has been closed at the tracks for two or three weeks now).

Well, now I am not so sure the above train was 451. Out walking I heard another NB freight go past MP 22.5 at 12:10 pm which would have been more of 415's times. So maybe one was an extra this morning.

M383 was by North Mount at 02:25. CN/CN.

L533N was by Mount Clemens depot at 05:28. GTW/GTW, 147 containers. GTW 4934 picked up an extra GTW unit (also blue) at Moterm for the trip back to Sarnia.

The earlier L533N reported at 01:15, was apparently another local that was working the south end of the MTC sub. Did not see the power, but it had many tanks and centerbeams.
