It’s simply the passing siding that doubles as a spur to the feed mill (hasn’t shipped by rail in many years) and the plastic for EJP

382 and 329 left Cadillac for Clare at 1150 with 1 covered hopper, 2 tanks, 1 pole load, 3 covered hoppers, 10 or so wood chip hoppers, 9 tie loads, 14 cement empties, 6 covered hoppers, 11 sand and 3 covered hoppers. Last three hoppers were empties from McBain.

Back into Cadillac at 1650. Finally able to catch 329 on the lead...and I didn't have to jog to the tracks.

And just heard them at 1920. Guessing all those sand hoppers went to Yuma this afternoon.

So I would like to have her make me a GLC themed cup, but I need a few shots of GLC engines. I'ts kinda hard for me to get down to Cadillac to shoot them myself. And to get them here in Traverse is difficult due to the irregular trips and they are always moving. So if someone can help me out I'm looking for a few shots of a GLC engine with a similar poise and angle the NS engine has on the begining of our message board.

Thanks
I have a shot of the GLC Fall Color Train in Cadillac with a similar angle of GLC 396. I'll have to find the file, but would you be interested in place of a regular freight train?
You might want to get pictures from Todd_F instead anyways, he does much better photography than I do.

Thanks for the advice MiRail, I've sent him a PM but haven't heard back yet. I could guess this nice weather takes priority over our rail hobby this weekend.

329 and 382 were sitting next to the engine house in Cadillac yesterday afternoon. I would bet they take the southbound out of town today.

Looks like maybe a tamper and ballast regulator. They're further east now.

397, 329 and 382 into Cadillac at 1530 with 1 covered hopper, 2 gons, 1 tank, 1 covered hopper, 3 tanks and 85 sand hoppers. Not a typo, 85 sand. Took them close to four minutes to clear Haynes St . Gons were a DJJX and possibly NS. I would guess those are headed to Beacon.

93 cars and 3 locos? Has to be a record length into Cadillac since the pre-historic dinosaur days?

Also, that means that there are now 4 empties for Beacon (and 3 loads ready to go). Sounds like Beacon is nice business for GLC (and giving us more than 1-2 car trains up here). With the cars coming to TC for scrapping, it's been nice seeing 10-17 cars trains up here (21 on one occasion in March).

It seems like the last time trains were 10+ cars long into TC is in the early 2000's when Cherry Growers, Integrity Iron & Steel and Shultz Snyder & Steele were all regular shippers.

And you're right about a 93 car train into Cadillac. You may have to go back to 1982 when the ferries last operated to get a train with three engines and that many cars.
