About 1400 712 reported on the ground in snow yard. The detector covered up how many cars.

501 clear scanner (in Sarnia), en route to Port Huron.
Looks like a 271 on track 3 in PH. Leader is blue IC 2460, trailing unit is CN 2451.
396 is supposed to have BCOL 4611 trailing (3 of 3) a CN leader and a GECX unit.

Also, GTW 4626 was on the paper mill local this afternoon. They returned to the yard with 3 boxcars a little while ago.

323 has CN 2563 and CN 2148. F/R.
Today's the day for odd colored tank cars- 501 has a bunch of white ones and 323 has a bunch of green ones. 323 also has a couple loads of pipe, including one load surrounded by tank cars...

Re: CN Updates: May 2018
Sounds like 396 is close to PH.
271 is supposed to go down the Mt. Clemens Sub, but is about 1,000 feet beyond the switch for the Mt. Clemens Sub on the Flint Sub. They just got a light to shove back toward the tunnel to get to the correct side of the switch.
Meanwhile, 501 has the Sarnia Puller crew, which is now on overtime. They had to wait for at least one eastbound to get in the yard to make their setout here (PH), then after making that setout (on overtime), they were told to wait for 396 before they can return to their train.
Coincidentally, does anyone know what the 9th Hour refers to? It sounds like the crew invoking it is being relieved from where they sit.

Re: CN Updates: May 2018
First freight train of the day led by CSX 4547 solo SB past MP 22.5 at 8:52 pm. All autoracks except for two covered hoppers one car back. Probably a 280. When I heard it blowing through Pontiac I thought it might be that sand train that was reported above. That might be coming next.
No sooner than that 280 clear my back yard than 391 comes rolling by with CN 2686 and BNSF 4296 with just five or six cars. So the Holly sub is waking up finally.

Re: CN Updates: May 2018
To wrap up yesterday's reports, after 280 went SB another SB went past MP 22.5 around 10:30 pm. It shook the house so I presume it was that sand train reported earlier. Then about an hour later another SB, maybe 502, went by. Sometime after that another evening local (513?) went SB and returned NB to Pontiac at 4:30 am.
