Photo evidence online suggests Amtrak P42 #130 is freshly outshopped in Amtrak's heritage phase II paint scheme, to replace the wrecked #66 from a few years ago. I'm surprised but pleased to see this tradition continue long after Amtrak's 40th anniversary has come and gone. I guess #66 must really be done.

Went west from Chicago on March 28 on the California Zephyr

66 is reported to have a bent frame and apparently has a date coming up with the torch.
And I definitely give Amtrak a thumbs up for painting 130 in phase II.

Unrelated, but since I've seen this posted everywhere, I figure I could help spread the word. P42s are monocoquesDaveO wrote:66 is reported to have a bent frame and apparently has a date coming up with the torch.

According to all known laws of aviation, there is no way a bee should be able to fly. Its wings are too small to get its fat little body off the ground. The bee, of course, flies anyway because bees don't care what humans think is impossible.
