That must be why no 353. Since 350 is only down 20 min they should combine the trains.

Sounds like the hours of service got goofed up somewhere. They could have been stuck in Detroit for 23 hours on Greyhound with no buses, no drivers, broken equipment and more which is what happened on Tuesday... it could be worse.

The lateness parade continues, however not as severe this time. Amtrak 352 EB past the west side of Ann Arbor at 1951, about 1 hour and 45 minutes late.

Amtrak 355, WB on the west side of Ann Arbor at 1935 with an excellent hornshow for someone, don't know who, can't see from my house. 352 is an hour and 30 minutes late, and is being held at Chelsea for 355 to pass.

The California Zephyr, Blue Water, Lincoln Service, and a number of other trains all departed Chicago at least 2.5 hours late. The Pere Marquette departed on time.

354 departed Chicago at 8.00pm Central Time (2 Hours Late) using the trainset from 353. The train started boarding at 6.45pm but did not depart for another hour "due to an issue" and getting all passengers onto the train as it was completely full and sold out. Had to reverse out of Union Station to wye the train on the way out. Arrived in Detroit at 2.45am over 2.5 hours late. Any ride is good when you sleep the entire way. :D

AMTK 350, engine 36, just used the Wye at the north end of Pontiac Yard to spin around. Went back south from CP Auburn at about 17:10.

Since the cold weather, have any of the WOLVERINES, BLUE WATER or PERE MARQUETTE trains been operating with Superliners?
Have there been Chargers on the PERE MARQUETTE?
Thanks!

The afternoon Amtrak out of Pontiac, MI, 355, seems to have departed about 15 minutes early or so for Chicago today. Was there a schedule change in the last few days?

Also, per the prior question, no changes in the Wolverine consists this winter other than an influx of more Metroliner-type coaches and snack cars instead of the Michigan Heritage cars dominating like they usually do.

Yep. There is a thread in the "Michigan Talk" about it...

Due to improvements on the Michigan Line, trains can go faster now, therefore the schedule was shortened by 10-20 minutes.

Yes, new Michigan service timetable in effect today. Most Wolverines and the EB Blue Water all have decreased running times. Pere Marquette is unchanged.

Speaking of the PM, I saw it this evening for the the first time in a while: P42 #37, typical 3 Superliners, NPCU #90229. Right on time into and out of Holland.

Tonight's P370 Pere Marquette swapped the usual 3 winter Superliners for 4 Horizon cars. I believe Genesis #34 was leading. I didn't catch the trailing NPCU number.

Not seeing it, but Amtrak 365 is west at Bellevue. Hearing them on the Grand Rapids feed here: https://www.broadcastify.com/listen/feed/24338
Amtrak1007 recently added CN channels to the feed to see how well we can hear the CN line.
