This puts it right at the IN State Road 152 crossing

I spotted a new IHB address 71255610300202 that is testing. Could this be the IHB view for CP Indy?

With it wedged in between Hohman (NS Calls it Hammond) and Osborn it makes sense.

The curious thing is that rereading the details of the stuff I weed out. Is that It won't be 261 west of Van Loon.
It will remain 251/93. (Basically rule 251 signals, with reverse movements controlled by yard rules. Crazy N&W thing.)

I wondered about staying with 251 territory. Maybe there is not enough traffic to warrant the signal expense to upgrade to 261.

The first signal west of Van Loon has bagged reverse signals at the intermediate. And there are places for eastward home signal masts on both tracks at Osborn. While tnere is a repeater signal at State line for the westward, there is none for the other track. There is a NKP vintage approach signal west of Columbia Ave. My guess is that Hohman-Indy-Osborn will be bidirectional single blocks between each CP.

From what I saw of the signal aspect setup. Only possible aspect into wrong main moves both ways was restricting.

The new IHB address went off the air this morning about the same time as the CSX and IHB versions of Calumet Park did (testing for new signals and switches at this location), so it must be related to Calumet Park and not CP Indy changes. FYI - it's typical for IHB addresses to go off the air for a day or so during testing.

Playing back for logs for the new address and watching the area next to Calumet Park, the new address is mostly certainly an updated version of IHB CP Calumet Park, not a view of CP Indy.

Well it looks like NS just tossed us a BIG curveball.

CP Indy. On Channel 6. On the Cummings drawbridge code line. Probably in test mode.

Now they changed their darn minds, or this is a result of some darn Lake/Dearborne division infighting. Now it's on the 217 Lake Division code line on Channel 5.

Until Osborn comes up, there is no need show anything other than clear, approach, stop or restricting. After that they will need the diverging aspects and advance approach.

I don't know if they plan to upgrade Osborne in the future or not. RIght now it seems to remain 251/93. The right hand movements on the main will have clear approach, stop and restricting. Moves off the sidings and the left main will have diverging clear, diverging approach, restricting, and stop.

IHB crews were out today installing masts for the new NKP signals at Osborn. The westward signals on both tracks will have 3 heads while the eastward signals will have 2.

New 3/2 eb and single head wb intermediate signals for both tracks are up at and turned Columbia Ave. with a PTC antenna, about a half mile from the current 503 signal

Thanks for the intell. Looks like 261 territory is coming.

Between Osborn and Van Loon, there should be directional intermediate signals near 173rd Street. It would be interesting to know if new signals are up in that area too.

These two locations should be the only intermediates on the double track west of Van Loon.
