Q385 rolling west through GR before 0630. Sounds like CN 2031 was leading.

385 had six units, 3 CN ahead of 3 CSX. Q384 had five units.

1550 hrs: what I assume was D700 eastbound approaching Holland depot with three CN units and 19 cars, but it looked more like Waverly cars already picked up than stuff from West of Holland...

I saw that train headed west south of Holland at noon. I thought it was D700 too, but weird to have that power, and so much of it!

Q326-01 is currently crossing ivanrest with NS 9921 and an EPIC RS5T air horn. For those of you on the eastern side of the state, I'd be listening for it if that unit leads on the next Q384. Both NS units are facing eastbound elephant style so I'm 98% sure they'll be on the next eastbound out of GR.

I heard it clear from the South Side of Grandville and raced to Ivanrest to hear it myself! They are currently stopped blocking Ivanrest, if awaiting clearance or to break the train in two I’m not sure.

I'm camping in the woods near Howell and I hear a horn. BL2 can take it from here I presume.

P370-01 is currently going through Benton Harbor. Sounds like IDTX 4617 leading.

384 EB with an all CN mashup. 70M-2 and a Standard Cab Dash 8 trailing what I’m guessing is a former Santa Fe unit.

Probably clearing Fox about the time I finish this post.

Now what if the horn was from a GLC train and not CSX? :) Enjoy your camping time!

The first one was an X100 type empty baretable train of 66 intermodal cars with one CSX unit. Of course it wouldn't be a baretable train if not empty. Second train was Q384.

While it could have been a GLC train at the 19:00 hour yesterday, it was D708 going back west. GLC did not come south of Durand on Friday. D708 went to South Lyon and back to take the Illinois Central 1022 to Peaker, after they dropped off 36 more cars in the Howell siding for GLC, most loaded CSX gondola's with more scrap ties. That IC unit sat at Barr yard in Chicago for nearly three weeks before finally coming into Michigan on Q385 on November 17th. There was no Q385 train overnight.

Q327 thru Grandville @ 08:10 with 204,321 & 412 for power on this hefty land barge. No stacks.
Followed by D900 with slug set 6413,2227, twenty one cars (no box cars).
The bare tables in the siding at Lamar are gone and the propane people were out getting
the tanks for the power switch heaters filled for winter sports next week.
