No, further south (and east) than that. This line was cut in half by another railroad . No diamond , just cut.railrod1949 wrote:On former Coe Rail ROW? Come north. This route had been declared redundant after a faster double track was built near by.railrod1949 wrote:M.D.Bentley wrote:Too far west. BUT, the DT&I was the culprit ! Keep coming east. A new double track replaced this route.railrod1949 wrote:Raisin Center, north east of Adrian, where the NS RR Detroit District and the SMRHS track (former LS&MS Lenawee Junction-Jackson branch) meet, in that above shot.

We need to go further north. The offending railroad line was constructed in about a year (1922/1923). The railroad started the work but turned it over to contractors.

Bingo ! The former D.D.& D. branch. Was made obsolete by the new double track Junction yard branch. Also ran where Greenfield Village is so, railrod1949 is right also, sort of .Michael wrote:The former Detroit, Delray & Dearborn Railroad in Melvindale where it was later split by the DT&I?
