There is a 348 departing Battle Creek and another train calling what sounded like Cory Yard. 1053.

116 currently meeting long NB train with mostly autoracks at Holbrook Ave. Don't have any clue what NB train number is. SB is CN 2033 2005 5933. NB is CN 2595 and 2342.

Update: 116 is now on Shoreline Sub at Milwaukee Jct. The 5933 was a red CN/GTW.

Q116 crossed Oak Street in Wyandotte on the southbound Shoreline Sub at 1305 EDT with blocks of autoracks, hoppers and boxcars. Powered by CN C40-8 2033, CN C40-8 2005, GTW SD40-3 5933 (CN painted). All were ex-UP, 2033 and 2005 were originally built for the C&NW, 5933 was originally built for the Missouri Pacific.

And now L533 is on the Sugarhouse Wye heading to Port Huron. Managed to miss the engine number again.

Here was an interesting event on the Holly.

Train 503/451 just went NB past MP 22.5 at 1:15 pm on Main 1. BC Rail 4626 (I think that was the number) was leading two other GE's.

As 503 was passing through my backyard, returning Train 950 suddenly appeared, passing it in the same NB direction on Main 2, going a bit faster with only a few cars. Train 950 had GTW 4626 on it! Two trains, same way rolling and fast speed meet, with both trains led by a 4626. That's railroading. Not too many same-way meets lately on the Holly Sub. with the reduction in trains these past few years.

Since the CN dispatchers tend to use engine numbers when communicating with trains instead of the train symbols, I wonder how the communication took place in this situation?

Dispatchers use reporting marks and engine number. So today would be GTW 4626 and BCOL 4626.

385 - CN 8867 and 5604 was the southbound.

384 - CN 2893, 3032, and 3037 was the northbound.

533 with CN 5438 will be also coming north soon. Departed from Moterm around 1845.
