Looking at Atlanta in Google Maps, I can see the grade running in from the east almost to Pettenger Rd, so I'll guess that road.

Yahoo! But I still don't know if I guessed where ConrailDetroit was standing for the previous picture. I'd like to know if I get any of the promised bonus points.MQT1223 wrote:You got it.blueheron13 wrote:Looking at Atlanta in Google Maps, I can see the grade running in from the east almost to Pettenger Rd, so I'll guess that road.

This tiny hamlet was the site of 2 different railroads at one time. Now 1 rail trail and 1 somewhat active line pass through.

Re: Where Is It?
Yes, indeed taken west of Clark Street on the Conrail SA. Final run of the three Amtrak trains in each direction between Scotten and West Detroit, was made on December 15 , 2015 when these trains were rerouted via the new northwest connection at West Detroit including the new bridge over Junction Street. All in Detroit, Detroit City School district, Wayne County.ConrailDetroit wrote:Yes indeed. Actually a shed type structure. Trains not visible from ground level.

Hamburg, looking north on Hamburg Road, toward M-36, with the old GTW RR Jackson Sub grade in the foreground. All in the Pinckney Community Schools district, Hamburg Township, Livingston County. Hamburg, MI 48169 is the mailing address. Final run of the remaining old GTW passenger train service which was a mixed train through Hamburg, was made on December 31, 1955.
