Anyone know if/when Marquette Rail might be running at all this first weekend of the month thru the 4th of July?

There's a short train sitting north of 4 Mile Rd in
Grayling and an LSRC Geep just south of the road. Maybe for 304 tonight?

This afternoon (July 19, 2017) spotted a Genesee & Wyoming painted locomotive at NS Oakwood fuel rack. Locomotive was spotted just right that I could not get number or reporting marks. Went back this evening when the sun cranked around to the North but locomotive was gone. Suspect it went to Milan, MI on NS B70. If that is the case it would be on the Ann Arbor tonight and Gt. Lakes Central tomorrow (July 20, 2017). Have an eye for it.

It was a GP38-2 Rebuild for the HESR, formerly an NS unit that was sold at the recent auction earlier this year. It was built for the Southern, and had its high hood chopped.

There are hopper cars for King Milling south of Lowell, north of M-21 and two lines in the yard along Ann Street in GR. Once those two new silos are active, they will likely require a lot of carloads to fill.

Y297 delivered 28 grain loads to GRE Tuesday night so I'd bet Lowell is stuffed!
