Thanksgiving railfanning 11/24/2016

Today was quite a slow railfanning day. First, we hit up Blue Island. Spent about an hour and a half there and saw two csx intermodals, and one unit tank car train. Went on to Dolton only to see the same unit tank car train along wth a northbound csx manifest. Porter was our last stop. We were there for about 15ish minutes and caught the blue water along with two ns intermodals.

When I worked on the railroad, they cancelled as many trains as possible to avoid paying holiday pay.

Ah, that explains it. My grandfather and I are going to Fostoria on Sunday. Hopefully things kind of come back to life. We were originally planning on going there today, but we were starting to get afraid that it would just be a bad turnout.
