Below is what I saw at Durand in roughly 2 hours:
1:00 PM: advanced approach at Clara for a westbound.
1:10 PM-an EB CN freight passed by the station. Had CN 3027 for power. It also had a mid train DPU! CN 3080.
1:17PM: the eastbound stopped at East Durand for the westbound.
Sometime in between, the signal at Clara turned to clear.
1:45 PM: the westbound finally came. Had four units on the head end. CN 5629, BCOL ? (didn't catch the number), CN ?, and CN 8848.
1:55 PM: the stopped eastbound cleared East Durand.
2:05 PM: another eastbound in Shaftsburg.
2:36 PM: Heard HESR 702 coming into town.
2:40 PM: the eastbound that was in Shaftsburg was holding at Clara for 702.
2:43 PM: 702 is coming onto the Port Huron Wye.
2:48 PM: 702 begins to shove back into the yard.
Unfortunately, I wasn't able to stay for the eastbound to pass.
Thanks for reading!

Re: Durand, MI 8-24-16
Which day was this?
A friend saw an eastbound go through Battle Creek on Tues morning with a mid train loco, wondering if it was the same train?

Also forgot to mention the power on 702 was HESR 2661 and HESR 2668. Both of these units looked to be former UP locos.
