Another lost rail customer on the NS Toledo side..closing this facility within a year after being bought out..boggles my mind.
The Ferro plant in Stryker is a former Shop building I believe from the days of the LS&MS.. check it out !

Along with the repore of the Dow Findlay Plant, this is surprising but welcome news.

Given the nature of expansion of industries in NW Ohio, especially within manufacturing, you will be likely hearing more examples of news like this.

Engineered Profiles LLC in Columbus is making an investment for more staff and new machinery.
http://www.plasticsnews.com/article/201 ... ment-staff

Once part of Crane Plastics..I thought that when Crane was spun off a few years back and their Timbertech Line moved to Wilmington that their whole plant shut down.
And I also assumed that Crane got a rail but there is a place right down the street that manufactures similar products like Crane

This is Engineered Profiles LLC plant at 2141 Fairwood Ave..and I don't any rail spur into the place except for the maybe that warehouse across the street but lead into it has been cut.
http://binged.it/1CMpGSU

And up the street a little way as far as the crow flies in Royal Building Products...Which does have a rail spur
http://binged.it/1AKHkH5

Midland Sub do you know if this place was tied to Crane at one time?

The pelts come from that spur. You can see the overhead piping into the other plant.

Fuyao Glass America Inc. recently upped its hiring projection from 800 to 1,000 workers for its new Moraine, Ohio glass-bending operation. That number has increased once again to 1,550.

http://www.daytondailynews.com/news/new ... our/njm6K/

Earlier articles indicate a need for rail service, and tracks serving the former General Motors assembly plant are still in place. Not sure if flat auto glass will be shipped by rail or truck from Fuyao's Mount Zion, Illinois plant, which it recently purchased from PPG Industries, but given the volume, it might. Moraine is served by Norfolk Southern and Mt. Zion is served by Canadian National, so a relatively short, two-line haul will be necessary if by rail.

Yes, MCPP is "Mitsubishi Chemical Performance Polymers"

Not sure exactly what's being referred to in that "new rail spurs" comment

Was this a grain elevator? It was most likely Sunrise, they've been closing everything in site.

With the reservoir between the plant and CF&E ROW I wonder how they'll layout the spur to the plant :? Looks to be a little east of the P&G plant.
