I'm up to 2 now- the N&W in September 2012 and the Lackawanna today (4-23-14).

The 1074 wasn't leading, but it came to me, at least 2 hours from the closest NS line. No extra miles, vacation time or gasoline investment required :!:

NS 1074 - Lackawanna. I didn't know what I had until I got home and opened up the digi editor. Later I read Ron's post. I knew this guy was coming, and if I hadn't been so intent on the HESR / CN / GLC in the yard, I would have walked closer to the station to snap this one. Oh Well ;-)

This is a different view, and should be good for a few summer time afternoon shots after the sun gets around to the north west. I was over on Main street to snap the HESR that I knew was coming into town. I also got the GLC headed south, which I'll post tomorrow.

Haven't seen any here. Seems every time they're near my home I'm either at work or out of town. :( I have seen all but one of the Amtrak Heritage units however (missing phase IV).

I'm up to 12 now, as I caught the Wabash unit yesterday shortly after the NKP 765 excursion arrived in Elkhart. :)

I've seen 8. I think. Lemme see if this list is right... PC. NKP. IT. SOU. NYC. MGA and LV. And this past Saturday, the Wabash. There was almost a year gap between NKP and IT.

I got the Interstate Unit to stop and pose here in Chesterton for a short time today

I got some pics of it going by the depot a little bit ago and will upload them later (if my laptop stays running..keeps crapping out on me.)
Train is currently a few miles west of Chesterton now.
Unfortunately I slept thru the Reading unit last night. :(

Here is the Interstate Heritage Unit I saw on Sunday.
This is also the first post on my second refurbished laptop. (First laptop died yesterday...bought used, probably cost more to repair than replace.)

But unfortunately it went through when it was too dark for pictures. :(
A little over a year later and I finally saw it in "daylight." It is dark and cloudy, and has been here for several days now in the Michiana Region.

Here it is on a westbound freight(didn't catch the train ID) going into Elkhart Yard about 15 minutes ago:

Caught 8114 yesterday. That makes 20, but I've only got pictures of 18 of them, and I want to shoot 9 of those again to get them leading in the sun.
