Anyone using rrpicturearchives.net
I stumbled upon a website called rrpicturearchives.net. I never even new this existed. Anyone submitting pictures to this site? Is it any easier to get pics accepted then the other railroad picture website?

Based on the photos I see on it, I'd guess there are no screeners at all.

I don't believe there are any screeners. It's much more of a photo host for RR pictures then a 'best-of-the-best' photo gallery that railpics is. You upload a photo & there it is. They do pic photos of the week (or maybe day) which tend to be higher quality.
If any screening is done it looks like it's after the fact.

You might want to try TrainPhotos.com, & sister sites, Locophotos.com & RailcarPhotos.com. These are where I post my photos.
The photos are screened.
If the photos are of good quality and adhere to the guidelines, you'll be OK. It's not nit picky like railpictures.
rrpicturearchives is a good place to post photos that wouldn't be accepted on other sites.

Re: Anyone using rrpicturearchives.net
There are no screeners on the Railroad Picture Archives site. It's always been pretty much a free for all as far as photos go, and thankfully so. There are plenty of railroad photo sites using screening processes these days, and while they all serve their own purposes, it is nice there is still a site where personal bias (railpictures.net) or lack of aesthetic quality (rail car photos/locomotive photos/train photos ) are not hurdles to the sharing of little seen railroad content.
That being said, the reliability of the site seems to be very questionable over the last several months. Aside from PSK Ch45.2's posts on Dale's boards, it seems that after a certain time at night the site is inaccessible.
Disclaimer- the first paragraph above is NOT intended to be a slam on the Rail Car Photos.com /Locomotive Photos.com /Train Photos.com sites. The screening process has generated a much higher quality reference resource than the old upload process created.

If you're looking for high quality train pictures, you generally won't find it on rrpicturearchives.net. That being said, it's a great site for organizing and categorizing your shots.

At one point almost everyone joined rrpicturearchives. cnw8835 from this site is the only one that I know that keeps up to date on there. Jon's profile is just shy of 30,000 photos. I know that they're having problems maintaining their server. Several times in the past few months I've tried to go on there and the site was not working.

Like (other) Jon said, it's a great way to categorize and sort photographs.
If you're looking for 'no screeners', most people use Flickr nowadays. You can upload whatever the heck you want, and add only the people whose photos you want to see.

One nice feature on rrpicturearchives is the Traffic Density Map.

I often use the site for locomotive histories and such...that is a nice feature IMO. It is also often a source of repaint discoveries.

Re: Anyone using rrpicturearchives.net
I've got stuff on there but I haven't updated it on several years. Partly because I don't see many trains anymore...well at least ones I want pictures of.
Re: Anyone using rrpicturearchives.net
I didn't read this whole thread but rrpicturesarchives does not screen any photos. You just put anything you want on there.
