I will talk to the traffic department and let you know how we will slot you in with the other excursion moves that will be running before and after the festival.
Come to think of it, I will only need to run trips to K-zoo, so you can disregard going all the way to Ft Wayne. I will edit the original post.
That is much better, I will tell the traffic department to slot you into the schedule for excursions during the week. If need be, we will run you GR to K-zoo via Allegan on the ex NYC branch if we can't fit you onto the GR&I Branch. All the yard guys and local crews are qualified over to the MQT so getting pilots or crews won't be an issue.

All show equipment can be moved right into Wyoming Yard. We're ready for them. Just have the Hughart Yardmaster give the Wyoming Yardmaster a ring when the equipment has made Hughart. We will send down a yard job to grab them. Go ahead and let the PC guys know they can get free entrance to the show on any general public day for free if they show their PC ID.

That's fine, I will make sure the steamers get moved over after they arrive. I am keeping my business train, the NS heritage units on loan to us, and the fleet of CCP&S passenger cars(since you said you didn't need them) in Hughart to save you on space there.

T-MNB in New Buffalo getting his train together, along with picking up MQT 3004 and MQT 3001 for the extra move from the M&N. The MQT SD40-2s will be dropped in Alida to lead the extra for the Steamfest in GR. Symbol on the Monon will be X-ALMC2. M&N's stuff should be in our interchange by now, too, so the move could head north as early as 2pm, pending crew and CIL pilot arrival...

Train will be W-BUFGRR-27. Our system thinks the train is the CIL's until New Buffalo to save a computer update to make a Michigan City symbol

We pulled it late last night on a special W-FULGRE. We're maxed out space-wise, but thanks for the offer!

Things are very busy around Wyoming Yard these days. Many people around setting things up, including quite a few MQT railroaders. All but a few displays are up, the building is ready, looking forward to a good time.

Tomorrow is the safety meeting between the show crews and the Yardmaster. It is still his yard after all. Pretty much the roundhouse area is cut-off, and protected by derails, but there are still clearance things to be laid out.

The operations department is laying out some final details with excursions and time slots. Passenger trains will take priority most of the time, but customer service is still #1.

The Pere Marquettes will run with 9 cars daily instead of 6 starting Sunday evening to accomodate extra traffic between Grand Rapids and Chicago.

The Mayors of many Kent County cities like GR & Wyoming, along with the State Governor will be around on the 4th, expect some announcements before the fireworks on the 4th.

I have the full schedule ready, but I have to wait until I'm on my laptop to copy & paste them here :)

The HPR executive train is near Nashville on CSX, running as CSX P940-28. The lead unit is CSX 221 (For some reason they wouldnt let the F-Units lead) and the trailing units are HPR 1, 3, and 2 (in that order). Just a heads up on its location for you MQT.

We've got her tracking online. CSX is routing them north to Barr via Terre Haute, Ind and Sheldon, Ill, to Barr. CSX garbage will move to the fuel pad, and it will be off with an MQT crew and your HPR guys in the jumpseats as WCHIGRR-30. Called for 8:30 EDT, so should look nice for the railfans gathering in Grand Rapids between GR & Holland.

You're taking the C44AC off at Barr, correct? And if you're wondering what the locomotives look like, I can whip up a GIF of them in about an hour.

EDIT - Here is what they look like

MQT, the YEXC-1 is ready to bring over the NYC 3001 and 1894 and right behind him will be YEXC-2 with the CCP&S 6700 and PA-1's 4003-4004. These will be the normal transfer crews so they are qualified to run all the way into Wyoming yard with the steamfest power.
