They have been at AA Ottawa yard since Tuesday. I am sending an rs1 to get them today.
I thought that the MNT just had us pick them up yesterday? Maybe those were for the MQT? I'll go check.

The industrial park figures are in, and estimated costs are $25 million HCE and roughly 10 million saline. To be paid for by saline using a tax increase.
Also, HCE will be building a new yard adjacent to this facility, probably 4 3000 ft tracks.

The AA will be sending its plow over HCE after we get done clearing up to Owosso. We will send the plow back to AA where the 2 Heritage GP35s will pick it up and run it over HCE before tomorrow.

Roster update: Cab units currently rule the road jobs as all hood units are being rebuilt in preparation for the summer crop season. We have an A-B-A set of alco cabs as well as an A-A set ruling the slimmed down winter road trains, and the HH660's on the yard jobs. The process started in the middle of january and should see all of the hood units rebuilt by early may.
The Saline industrial plant has received approval from the city council, and a month long environmental study is set to commence starting next week.
AA's order for the twin unit club cars are nearly done, some break in assignments are set to run next week to work out some remaining bugs. Expect to see delivery to be in the 2-3 week range.

Alright, getting the summer schedule together.
First order of business is the acquisition of 4 more ex conrail cabeese to augment the 2 existing cabeese in mixed train and excursion service. To arrive at Ottawa yard in the AM.
All of the road trains originate out of Manchester, work to their designated end points and return, switching industries along the way . They all have caboose accommodations for any riders who wish to go to any point on the line for a nominal fee of 5$ one way.
road trains
Mon-Wed-Fri-Sun...
169: works south to Toledo and return
145: north to Jackson and return
Tues-thurs-sat... ( days opposite above trains)
257: west to Hillsdale and return
289: east to saline and return
yard jobs
Everyday
YJAX-(day of month): works the interchange with the PC and the yard in Jackson, as well as any industry as needed.
YSAL-...: works the saline interchange yard as well as the industrial park, once completed.
YMAN-...: works the Manchester classification yard and shop, sorting cars for points north, south, east or west.
Every other day
YHILL-...: works PC interchange as needed.
Ottawa yard: sorted by the AA prior to interchange.

excursion service
Excursion service will begin the first weekend of June. The excursions run Saline to Manchester and return. Equipment is A-B alco FA's pulling 3-7 EX DLW commuter coaches. Once a month our 0-6-0 runs the excursion. The excursion leaves 4 pm sat. And 3 on Sundays, returning after 5 and 4 respectively. Cost is $20 per adult, $15 per child.
An option being studied is Saturday dinner trains running saline to Manchester and return using the business train fleet. Price: 50individual,90 per couple.

saline industrial complex
Project is up and running. Construction is set to begin on the 14th, and set to be completed late august

Small track work update.
HCE track forces will be expanding the yard in Ottawa lake to better handle the unit grain trains at the grain elevator there. Off the main, there will be two 8500 foot tracks to better support that facilities.
For the saline industrial plant,we are beginning talks with Midwest Renewable Energy LLC. of Sutherland N.E of possibly building an ethanol processing plant in saline. Possible carload uptake of 2 to 3thousand a year.

If you are interested, we still have 16 B40-9s for sale. They have prime movers and trucks, but they can't move because they have no fuel. If you are interested, do please contact us. :)

Can't move without go-go juice

B40-9s. No real good use for 1,000hp per axle, unless you're in a locomotive burnout contest.

My CMO is an alco guy, so no GE or EMD. I might be adding some more motive power if this deal goes through. It is all just talk right now, nothing concrete yet. I appreciate the offer though.

Deal fell through, Midwest decided to keep the plant in Wisconsin for political reasons. We will keep the search alive though.
6 of the remaining 10-6 hulks have been sold to private interests in Mexico. They are being loaded onto speciality flats and interchanged with Wabash Central south of tecumseh, for shipment to K.C, then KCS to KCS De Mecico at the tex-mex border.
