Check out these good pics of CSX 2517 at the Huntington Locomotive Shop paint booth.

I commented on the photgrapher's picture and asked how long it takes to paint a locomotive and his response was:
It normally takes about 24 hours for a locomotive to be painted. They come in and are washed, then any decals are scraped off. They then move to the blast room and are sandblasted, then moved to the paint booth and are painted. 2517 started on second shift and was finished on second shift the next day.

thanks for the links BB. don't know quite why i didn't even think CP was repainting some of the old Sooline engines... i really like the matched consists of soolines coming by here.
