Adobe Question
Anyone use Adobe Lightroom? Can you do channel swapping with it? Or is Photoshop CS the only way to go if you need to do channel swapping? Will gimp allow swapping?

Re: Adobe Question
Lightroom does not allow channel swapping, however there are ways to get the IR look if that's what your going for. If you're going for that look, the best way is to save and buy an older DSLR and have it converted.

Re: Adobe Question
I have done this now I was looking to do so processing of the images. I have converted them to B&W images but have seen channel swapping can really enhance the photo better but Corel does a lousy job at it.. I was looking at adobe CS which offers a better tool but I can't afford the 600.00. I found conflicting info on lightroom but now thats out. I might go for the CS student edition even though I need to go back to school to get that...conrailmike wrote:Lightroom does not allow channel swapping, however there are ways to get the IR look if that's what your going for. Re: Adobe Question
Yeah, Lightroom was not made for that type of processing, your best bet is still PS. Lightroom does a lot of wonderful things but specialty items like this is what PS is for. I can get away with doing 98% of post-process work in LR but I still need PS for those times that call for things like cloning something out, getting that IR look or using some of those techniques for some special editing.
