Summer time table for passenger trains. "westbound" trains are odd numbers and "eastbound" trains are ever numbers (even though most trains go in at least 3 directions  )

Trains 10-13 and 20-23 operate with a standard set of between 4 and 6 ex santa fe hi level cars (we aquried them in the 80's) and trains 99 and 98 operate with between 6 and 9 ex santa fe single level coaches (also aquried in the 80's)

we have 12 hi level coaches, 3 hi level diners, and 4 hi level obserbation cars (pacific parlors)
we have 8 single level coaches, 2 single level dining cars, and 1 full dome car

All coaches are ex santa fe

HUH?
yeah because of the shape and way the lines go
Image

the direction of the train is based on if the train goes east or west across the island. if you look from papa bay (in the bottom left corner of the map where the line ends) to Hilo (the point where the 3 lines meet) The train will go south, east, north, east, south, east, and north; so it is an eastbound train.

also note the time table has READ UP and READ DOWN, that applys to the entire page

There is a Canadian on The Island! ALRR has leased a SD90MAC from CP rail for testing to see if they like the high horse power unit.
Image

got to the island early this morning. if test go well, ALRR will buy the unit and paint it into the lovely Aloha rail Yellow and Green. The lease is a 3 month lease with an option to purchase the unit at any time during the lease

Uh Iowa Pacific purchased all 58 of CP's SD9043MAC locomotives in late 2012 :? But we could work out an agreement since the unit is already a long way from home rails.

It's fine. CIT Leasing has a whole fleet of SD9043MAC.
