Probably faulty panel track from the last derailment. NS crews were headed out there to install Welded rail and Main #1 tomorrow, Main #2 Friday, and weld the joints on Main #3 Saturday.....they never made it

They think one of the rails came loose? Not totally sure yet but they think the heavy train rolled the rail.

All new welded rail is in place at Porter, hopefully we shouldn't have any more derailments soon. As for the crew, they will both be ok but will have severe burn marks on their bodies.

CQ222-84F has just hit a car in Dunbridge, OH. The train was travelling at 45 MPH northbound when it struck a car attepmting to beat the train. Authorities say the driver was badly injured but will be ok. TSCR 9930 and TSCR 1989 were leading this 69 car train to Detroit. TSCR 9930 is ok but has a few scrapes.

While the DT&C isn't doing much except hauling freight, TSCR has been running its pasenger trains more frequently and now is thinking of sending passenger service up to Michigan but it depends on the poll...
