In the first video see how deep the snow was on the box cars!

Seeing all those box cars in Sterling Heights consists is depressing. There is hardly any box car traffic anymore from Sterling.

Hey, in the 5th video on the GTW train there is an ex-AA 86' in the consist :)

I prefer Charlie's video's because he shows the whole train 8)

I never thought about it before, but it would be erie engineering a train traveling over tracks covered by snow and not being able to see the rails

BTW DTI - These are awesome vidoes :!:

I wish Amtraks box car traffic had panned out. I enjoyed seeing the box cars in their consists.

I can tell from the narrators voice they are Green Frog videos. Most of the older ones have mutipel mistakes in them.

I have this on DVD.

I wonder why at the beginning why Amtrak 355 is coming from the direction of the Michigan Central Station. This was filmed in the winter of 1998 - 1999 and Amtrak stopped using the area near the station in 1994. The movie looks to be shot from the middle of Bay City Jct but I could be wrong. The train would be coming off the North Yard Branch from Vinewood and not from the direction of the station.

The F40 is in an odd spot on the train.

The autoracks train on the Michigan Line at the end is ML441. It is now NS 31M (previously 41M) and runs on Detroit Line.

I do not know all the names of the junctions and tracks in that part of Detroit but when Amtrak comes south from Pontiac they use the old Bay City Jct to go west on the Michigan Line.

Amtrak wont be going by Scotten for much longer once the new connection at West Detroit is finished.

One minute into part 1 there is 2 tracks going to the left of the screen. I believe thats the east legs of the Bay City Jct wye.
