SD40-3 program is a complete rebuild...SD50-3's get downgraded and thats about it....Not much of a rebuild.

Your thinking of 50-2's. 50-3's while not a compleate rebuild, is more then a downgrade. They get new computer controled stuff, they get the guages replaced with computer screens like the widebodies. They get components installed for air start as primary stat of the prime mover, and much other stuff.
CharlieX90 wrote:Yes but much different compared to the SD40-3 where it is basically a rebuild from the frame up or along those lines.
