Penn Central motive power

Unread post by conrailman75 »

Here is the most recent list of Penn Central's motive power. I haven't updated it since 2003 or 2004 so you'll notice no GEVO's or ACe's on it. When I get a chance, i'll figure out a newer update but figured this would give you a baselline on what we run. Please note I made a railfan's type of roster so I have old units that have long bit the scrap bin of history running around but I like those particular units.

Did you retire any C425M-ACs? We'll take them and any part you've got.

The DT&C will buy your U-boats if you still have them.

The U-boats and C425's(straight Alco's - I didn't rebuild them) are sitting in a deadline so if you want them, they are yours! I will arrange a lite engine move tomorrow to run them over to Lima and interchange them to you there. Compensation can be worked out later, perhaps as a credit toward a future Lima Locomotive works order.

Reviseing my earlier post:

How many C425s do you have?
What paint are they in?
Can I get all of your parts (let me know how many boxcars it is)
When can I get them (I'd like it to be a Friday pickup from Toledo on the Toledo-GR train)?
What number series are they?

DT&I - yes, I have called an ENS-501 to run these from Ft. Wayne to Lima, OH to be interchanged to you there for tomorrow morning.

MQT - My C425's are in black Penn Central paint with the white worms logo and white lettering. They are intact enough to run, dead in tow, wherever you desire because I didn't cannibalize them for parts, just left them sit and rust in the dead line. Unfortunately I don't have a direct route to Toledo, but I can route them up the GR&I branch to Grand Rapids and interchange them to you at Wyoming yard up there. Oh and numbers are 2418-2421, ex PRR heritage IIRC.

Okay, route them up via your tracks (I forgot they were yours  ...I was going to have you give then to DT&I to send up my way via Toledo). Nevermind DT&I....

Ypsi, can you revise that drawing by adding an orange C to it? I'm curious to see what it looks like.

Okay, keep the orange C on it and paint the P red and then let me see what it looks like, as I always wondered how a red P and orange C together would look as a logo.
