Energy 'fracking' boom tainted by EPA finding contaminants

Postby AARR on Thu Dec 08, 2011 6:04 pm

You guys know all about that fracking sand being shipped from Yuma and Muskegon and the inbound sand into Cadillac? Between the three it probably amounts to 150-200 cars per week and is the principle commodity on MS and GLC north of Clare. Well, read this article. For now its only this one area that is being targeted but be assured there are groups out there who, if successful in Pavillion Wyoming, will try to invoke restrictive legislation elsewhere.

Like I've said in the chat, suspend the EPA (and all regs made AFTER 1990) for 2 years, and you'd see gas less than $2 per gallon, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average would jump past 15,000.
Bakken Shale Oil can be extreacted for $8 PER BARREL, but only after you get a well permit (which is nearly impossible) and get past the local envionrmentailists (again almost impossible).
Also, why does the EPA and other enviornmental freaks go after the railroads? RRs are time and time again proven the most efficient land transportation out there (ships are better, but water based).
