CSX D710, D737

I was wandering around the bullsheet today and a new D7-- series local job caught my eye - D710, a Flint-Port Huron turn. Upon some further searching, I realized it seems to have replaced the two Q trains which used to operate to Flint and back to Port Huron. When did this happen? Is there any real operational change or just the use of a different symbol?

Also, I see a D737 coming south out of Flint on the list. Although it says it can go as far as Plymouth, I have never heard of it going that far south. How far and what days does this job run? Does it work cars at Grand Blanc, too? I wish D736/D735 still ran from Flint to Detroit and back...

I believe Q330/Q331 were abolished last summer. Now D710 is a turn job. It runs to PH and returns to Flint. Matt Smith would know for sure.

D710 replaced Q330-331 last summer. Q330-331 was supposed to go over Mon return Tue, go Wed return thurs, ect. Sunday off. The crew got to the point of turning every day, and getting two days pay with two days off (ie. go over on mon, and everything was ready and they had enough time to retrun to flint, and got a days pay for each way). Well the RR seen this and said why are we paying two days pay when we can do it in one, and they cut 330-331 and made it a local. The local is a turn job, and only gets one day pay. Durring the summer, I believe it is called off the extra board, (cant rember for sure) as the propane is not running strong. Durring the winter, it is runs six days a week with a assinged crew.

D737 is a friday only train always called off the extra board, and from what I have seen and heard, all it dose is go down to Delt Tube in Holly, and switch out fixed auto racks for broken ones, and comes home. It also dose any work that is need at the BOS yard at Grand blanc.

What times would D737 run on Friday - any consistent range of hours or just whenever?

Odave I will see if I can find out, most of the time I have seen it it was durring the day, like around 10:00 out of Flint.
