I see where your going here looks close and is possible the houses across the street in my second picture and the elevation difference is throwing my off. Any idea when Old US-31 became "old" / replaced by US-31? Thanks for all the help I'm going to keep looking on these maps. The ground is high enough. In street view, the buildings behind the tennis courts are only partially visible, and that is with the use of an elevated camera. In the photo it looks like some buildings across the water. I can see them just to the left of the center utility pole.

Conjecturing here, but I wonder if the stones used to build the fountain or whatever it is are the same ones in your photo. Moved and reconstructed in an attempt to preserve history. I can't read the inscription from street view.
