Film introducing the whole Pewnn Central CORPORATION (not just the railroad). Worth looking over.
Alas, just about every single 'innovation' mentioned, in retrospect, went sour. The narrator claims the Railroad itself contributes "a small part of its profits" (in reality, it never did), and almost all the non-rail developments met with failure, as mentioned in the all-encompassing MEN WHO LOVED TRAINS book.
But great footage of all kinds of now-gone rail equipment. Metroliners, steam-heat passenger trains, and lots of cars/locos still painted for PRR, NYC & NYH&H.
