Image
An aerial photo showing the Kalamazoo River at East Michigan Ave. taken by John Todd, late 1950's, or early 1960's. (Courtesy of the John Todd Photographic Collection, Portage District Library)

The image above depicts the center of Railroading in Kalamazoo, with BO Tower/Tower 1 area with wyes at lower left, the various freight houses and associated yards dead center, the Gibson diamond area just to the right, and above, the roundhouse and Botsford Yard.

Other aerial photos from this period and many streetscenes from around Downtown Kzoo were also released, and are available in full-screen resolution. See the digitized set here: http://www.mlive.com/news/kalamazoo/ind ... photo.html

Thanks for posting! The picture showing the King mill is awesome, I've never seen a good photo of it!
