Muskegons Railroad Crossings website

Unread post by Ben Higdon »

Does anyone know who created the long-gone Muskegons Railroad Crossings website?

Thanks!

If anyone remembers the URL you might find a copy of the web site here.

Just type in the "browse history bar.
Sorry, no search is available there.

Mr. Tops used to have an excellent Muskegon Railfan website.
PatC created a monster, 'cause nobody wants to see Don Simon no more they want AARR I'm chopped liver, well if you want AARR this is what I'll give ya, bad humor mixed with irrelevant info that'll make you roll your eyes quicker than a ~Z~ banhammer...

Kevin Wootton is the owner of http://muskegonrr.com
He's since turned it into a hockey website.

Here's how the site used to look: https://web.archive.org/web/20030207225 ... /main.html

Most of the photos that were on his site are now located here. Kevin sent them all over this way: http://railroadfan.com/gallery/thumbnails-1561.html

March 2004 is when he shut down the railroad portion stating:

Muskegon's Railroad Crossing:
I am sad to inform everyone that after 30,000 visitors, Muskegon's Railroad Crossing is done.
Due to a lack of time for updating, I have chosen to take it off-line. All of the Photos have been
given to one of my friends, Zack Segur who has the photos posted on his site. Thanks for the long
run of Muskegon's Railroad Crossing. I as well as many others, have learned a lot.
Click below to Visit Zack's Site and view the Muskegon photos plus a lot more.

You know we're firmly in the internet age when we have "historical" discussions on websites.
