When that pic was taken, somewhere on the running board of 469 is a cassette tape recorder that is catching the neat sound of that beautiful 244 diesel at idle---the crew even came out to throttle it up, and turned on the bell for me. The D&M guys were just like their railroad, easy going and accommodating----try that nowadays, or on a class one----God do I miss that railroad!
