Plans are being put together right now to have a Scavenger Hunt & Road Rally with a Picnic afterwards with Speakers that grew up around the DCS. There are maps of the grade from 1927 of the Caro Michigan trackage and a road rally is the best way to find and document the lost remnants of the grade while having fun doing what we enjoy most. Please read the posts on the Michiganrailroads.com history board and then please feel free to post your suggestions for a date and time or shoot me an email with your input. Also any info you havew on this line let us in on so we can all enjoy it together.

Historical buildings are something to be Restored for years of future enjoyment and not wore out and tore down. Great Lakes Home Accents Historical Restoration Contractor & Consultant (989)484-7099 glhawelcome@hotmail.com Call Today
A date has been set for Saturday, July 8th.
The plan (as of today) is to meet in Caro, and chase the DC&S(DBC&W) east to Wilmot, and then, if time permits, west(from Caro) to Akron.
We are also planning a stop into the museum at Waterousville(sp?), and have lunch in Bay City.
Lunch in BC is going to be a pot luck, like the message boards get togethers..someone brings the grill, someone brings burgers or dogs, buns, drinks, chips..etc.
So, If we (mark and I) could get a early head count...we hope some of our dinosaur hunters would join us!

The date for the Road Rally for the DCS is set. Its July 8th at 9am at the
Chippawa Landing on M-24 on the Cass River in Caro Michigan. We will then
caravan along the grade and visit a DCS depot that still exsists, then stop
and see a DCS museum exhibit and then hear some special speakers that lived
the DCS and then rally in Bay City for a Picnic. We need people to commit to
dogs, chips, pop, deserts and salads and a grill. Bring your cam, pics, maps
etc to share.

One can make a mistake and own up to it, but still feel guilty.
