I'm guessing haul transformers for ABB. It splits in the middle to provide a bed for the transformer to sit on. The extra length helps spread out the load. It's "folded up" as pictured.

I have seen similar cars that are used for hulling transformers, so I’m guessing that’s what this car is used for. :?: :?: :?:

Yes that is one of the Schnable (yes I did mess that up), cars, used for hauling transformers.
