Florida

Unread post by RailCanon »

Some of you might have seen me mention this a few times, but I'm going down to Florida tomorrow moring for Christmas vacation. We are going to spend four or so days at Disney World in Orlando, and then we are riding Amtrak's Silver Meteor to West Palm Beach, where we are having a Christmas family reunion.

I can't wait to leave!! :D

I will bring back a few train pictures from at least the Amtrak trip, but for most of this trip, my lens is aimed at my family, and preserving memories.

See you guys when I get back!

Thanx guys. We are waiting for our plane to Orlando at Greensboro, NC.

After riding on two planes today, I think I have the right to say that Amtrak is a LUXURY (SP?) compared to Air travel.
Zack, you were right, take off was a BLAST, but the rest of the trip for both rides was really boring, and somewhat nauseateing (I know thats spelled wrong too). Oh well, I'm having an okay day.

I'll drop in whenever we find wireless (Should be lotsa hot spots at Disney).

figured you'd think the rest of the plane flight was rather boring... trains definately are the way to travel if you aren't in too much of a hurry for those longer distance commutes.

HaHave fun down there Gregg, and I hope you and your family have a safe and Merry Christmas. Enjoy your time down in the warm weather, sure is cold here. Lucky for me I get to head down there at the end of January. Hope you have fun at Disney, I have been there many, many times :D :D :D .

And like MMRR said, train travel is luxury compared to flying. Only if we could take a train everywhere    !
